Avidyne EXP5000 PRIMARY FLIGHT DISPLAY (PFD). The PFD was overhauled and refurbished by Avidyne’s sub contractor, Extant. It was shipped back to Avidyne 14 October 2025 and installed in a Cirrus SR22 on 24 October 2025 by a FAA certified repair station under 14 CFR Part 145. The PFD operated normally after it was installed in October 2025 and was last operated / flown in May 2025. No deficiencies were noted while it was installed. It was removed by a FAA certified repair station under 14 CFR Part 145 during a complete panel update in June 2025.
The Avidyne PFD Pilot’s Guide and the POH inserts are included. Also provided, are the Avidyne and Extant shipping documents, a failure analysis report, two test data sheets and the FAA Form 8130-3 Authorized Release Certificate (dtd 27 Sep/2025). These documents were shipped with and accompanied the display from Avidyne. Together they document the repairs and provide a complete chain of custody from Avidyne to installation.
