Why does this aircraft have such low time (for a 1963 model)?
- This aircraft was one of a half dozen imported in the early 60's by a distributor in Los Angeles in parts (because at that time there was a high duty charge for importing assembled aircraft). However, the deal with the manufacturer fell through and this aircraft and a few others, were left in their shipping crates for many years. This aircraft was eventually built and certified by an owner in Dallas around 1985. So, while it is a 1963 aircraft, it was not completed and flown until around 1985.
