PS Engineering PMA 6000M-C audio panel with marker beacon. Worked when removed from the airplane. This is the mono version of the audio panel and has split controls for pilot and co-pilot intercom volume and squelch. It also has three modes, Pilot only, Crew and All. This allows the co-pilot to be split off to discuss things with the passengers without interrupting the pilots needs, or to work with the pilot without interruption by the passengers. I have used all three modes and it is a great feature, The audio panel also has a marker beacon with lo, hi and test modes. The power button changes color when transmitting to provide an indication that the radio mike is keyed, which helps indicate a stuck mike should that happen. It has two COMM/ NAV inputs, and due to the innovative design (for its time) both the pilot and co-pilot can share communication duties with either pilot having access to either radio. This is great for calling ahead or listening to weather at the destination while the other pilot continues the chatter with ATC. It also has a 3rd COMM input if needed, as well as inputs for DME, ADF, and an Auxiliary line that could be used to feed in music or other entertainment for the passengers. The panel outputs will feed external speakers and up to 6 headsets. In failsafe mode, the unit is off but the pilot has direct access to hear and talk on Comm/ Nav 1 and hear all inputs from other units. Unit is sold without tray mount.
