Up for sale is an authentic, original WWII-era military aircraft Airspeed Indicator manufactured by the renowned Pioneer Instrument Company, Inc. (A Division of Bendix Aviation Corp.) out of Bendix, New Jersey.
This 0–250 MPH gauge features a beautiful vintage look with aged, naturally yellowed luminous numerals and an iconic orange pointer needle. The rear of the casing retains its original metallic data plate with crisp lettering detailing the Order No. 39-4806 P, Part No. 1403-1N-B1, and Spec No. 27804. It also features a stamped "CAUTION GLOW IN TUBES" warning and an inspection stamp on the back housing.
Cosmetically, the unit is in good vintage condition showing a beautiful, authentic patina from age and military service. There is minor chipping on the black bezel paint finish as expected with an artifact of this era. The glass is intact with typical light surface scuffing but provides clear visibility to the dial face. Both rear brass pressure port fittings remain securely attached.
This unit is completely untested and is being sold strictly "As-Is" for historical militaria collections, aviation restoration projects, or classic cockpit instrument panel displays.
