Developed to assist reaching the main rotor without a ladder or throwing the rope over the blade. The rope over the blade is a great way to bend the trim tab and throw the track and balance off.
Allows personnel to safely pull the main rotor down to apply the tie down sock.
Used on the 500 but may be used on any helicopter that does not have a limitation against pulling down on the main rotor for tie down.
