I bought this new from Aircraft Spruce in August for one of our Club's Cessna 172's.  It turned out that another member had already purchased one, and Aircraft Spruce will not accept returns on items with shelf lives.  It has never been installed and is new except that it now has less than 2 yrs of use remaining. 
The BP-1010 can be used on the NARCO ELT 10 only.  
This is a fairly common ELT in small aircraft.
