This is a 1947 Beechcraft Bonanza model 35 project. Currently registered as N3061V.
Engine has approximately 405 SMOH/3,680TT
Prop is Hartzell Constant Speed HC-12V20-7D
I have the 8130 from H&S Prop shop when they installed the updated Diaphram and resealed. Prop has practically 0 time since but has timed out of the 5 year AD period so would need to be sent in again for AD compliance as I understand
Airframe does have hail damage on the skins of the left fuselage as well as all upper surfaces. The LH ruddervator shows very little.
Panel was set up as IFR but is now missing the localizers and radios. (see pics)
LH Strut needs a repack. (I've been told this simply needs an O-ring replaced)
The interior is complete as near as I can tell, it's just dated and not completely installed in the AC.
THE STORY AS I KNOW IT
So as I understand the previous owners purchased it in 2021 as a project from an A&P who had maintained the aircraft for the previous owner. It had a recent gear-up landing in grass.
There was damage to the flaps and maybe the nose gear doors
As well as a prop strike
They moved it to KFWA and began to reassemble it.
They reinstalled the wings with new wing attach bolts and hardware. (I have the receipt and 8130's for this hardware)
They replaced the flaps with refinished used ones.
(The brakes have been bled and appear functional.)
Cleaned and epoxy painted the undercowl area.
Installed the E185-11 Continental and Hartzell prop.
The engine has been run up and seems to be in operational condition. I borescoped one cylinder and verified that they are chrome.
I spoke with the A&P who sold it in 2021 and he informed me that he was expecting to monitor and supervise the repairs but has not becaus they never called/hired him to do so up to the point that I aquired the project.
This Aircraft is very complete as near as I can tell with the above exceptions.
It's an opportunity for someone looking for a funcional Model 35 Bonanza and has some energy to wrap the project up.
I will be making an attempt as selling it complete as it is. If it doesn't sell this way I will be parting it out.
