According to the Sweeney Operating Instructions Manual this special tool is made to hold the Prop Shaft on #40 Spline Prop Shaft, such as on Pratt & Whitney R-1340 and Curtiss Wright R-1300 Aircraft Engines while removing a tight Thrust Nut. The tool is 15” long x 4-1/2” wide x 3-3/8” deep. It has a 1” diameter hole in the end which can be used for an extension handle and using it as a turning bar. It is in new surplus condition.
