For auction is a preowned Garmin GTX33 TRANSPONDER transponder. This was recently removed for Garmin upgrades and was in working order when removed. See description below for item details. The item will ship via USPS.

The GTX 33 performs the following functions:  Remote Mount Mode S Digital Transponder.   
    IFR certified unit features traffic datalink capability and meets European mandates for Mode S Level 2 surveillance.
   

Certified to TSO-C166a standards for 1090 MHz extended squitter transmissionTransmission1090  (1090 MHz) Integration of data from internal and external sources to transmit the following data per 14 CFR 91.227:

o   GPS Position, Altitude, and Position Integrity

o   Ground Track and/or Heading, Ground Speed, and Velocity Integrity

o   Air Ground Status

o   Flight ID, Call Sign, ICAO Registration Number

o   Capability and Status Information

o   Transponder Squawk Codes between 0000-7777.

o   Emergency Status

o   IDENT  -  initiates  SPI  (special  position  identification)  pulse  for  18  seconds 


o Pressure Altitude Broadcast Inhibit

o   Reception of TIS-A traffic data from a ground station

o   Provides  TIS-A  traffic  alerting  to  the  pilot  via  interfaced  display  and  audio  output
