Becker Mode-S transponder with remote head / control / display ( BXP 6402 S/N 00494; and its display- CU 6401). Compact, fits 2 1/4" round dash hole. Altitude encoding transponder with extended squitter (ES) (encoding altimeter not included, such as ACK 1-30. However, many EFIS can send encoding data to transponder). Mode C or above (eg this Mode S Txpdr) is required for Mode-C veil compliance. May work with certain ADS-B OUT GPS encoder equipment (FreeFlight, NexNav, Garmin GDL-82… see Becker manuals), also required for Mode C and Class C operations to enhance your visibility for traffic avoidance. Last biannual function tested (passed) 6/24/21. Easy to input new squawk codes and to return to VFR (1200) code. Includes mounting tray and some bus connectors (not harness). Simple install. Control unit fits 2 1/4" dash mount hole. Display shows transmit and receive (ping), other operations data and dims in brightness for day / night operation. Purchased ~ 2011 and sent to Becker for full overhaul / return to service. Was in good working condition when removed from aircraft April 2025 for system upgrade. Buyer to determine airworthiness.

This model is a class 1 but purchased before the 2018 manual that I have quoted, so I can not fully verify.
