For sale is my SEAWIND 3000 "kit".

It is nearly completed! Not much more, other than paint and personal preferences, to have a

beautiful four place amphibious airplane. It came from the factory as a "QUICK BUILT" kit so

rest assured it is basically a solid build. With it came every factory option, to numerous to mention.

The engine is a Lycoming IO-540 K1A5, 300 horse power. Zero since rebuild with new crankshaft,

new camshaft and followers, new cylinders, new exhaust, new engine mounts, and most everything

new. The exhaust was built custom for this airplane. It's a "tuned" system that sounds great.

Engine is periodically run and pickled for storage each time. It's a beautiful engine.

The prop is a Hartzell HC-E3YR-1RF "Q" tip model, zero since overhaul with new blades.

Santa Monica Propeller Co. built it specifically for this Seawind airplane. A new governor is installed.

There is also a used McCauley "Black Max" three blade prop from an Aero Commander 114 that

goes along with the kit.

The hydraulic system is modified from the factory design. After installing the factory system, there

were many disappointing features. Among them, the system would not hold hydro pressure in either

up or down position. The gear would not go up & stay up nor would it go down & stay down as

valves that do not leak. This system works like a charm. I love this design.

The instrumentation is basic VFR. All of the engine diagnostics are 'Electronics International'

individual gauges. Check the pix for details. There is a com radio and an intercom installed.

No TPX or ADSB.

There is ample room in the left panel and center stack for more of your preferred avionics.

All of the switches, wiring, lights, bells, and whistles are time tested and approved aircraft

quality material. We're talking "push to test" lights, circuit breaker switches, etc.

The glare shield removes easily to gain quick access to the panel, front and back.

The fuel system is a genius design modified from factory plans. Fuel in each of the four fuel tanks

can be transferred to any of the other tanks. All of the fuel controls are mounted on a common

board that can be removed for working on the bench. Hey! It still takes a smart guy to manage

fuel even though the "low fuel" lights come on with five gallons left in the mains!

The seats are "Riccaro" style high back bolstered racing seats each having a shoulder harness.

They are all the same and interchangeable for maximum longevity.

This aircraft is based at KIOB, Mount Sterling Montgomery County Kentucky, airport, about 100

miles east of Louisville, KY. on interstate highway I-65. Call 859 473-2668 for an appointment

Expect to yield a $5K deposit upon reaching a deal. Then make the balance payment within seven

business days and receive the plane, log books, and bill of sale. Absolutely no escrow or title company

will be involved in this transaction. We will be satisfied with whatever deal we make.

The aircraft is registered to me only and the title is free and clear.

A third party inspection and title search is encouraged, of course.
