This Seawind 3000 kit came from the factory as a "quick build" unit.  This meaning that the major components (wings, fuselage, pylon, etc. were assembled at the factory.  Also, every conceivable accessory was included with it and installed at the factory if possible.  Rest assured the factory boys put it together correctly with not much room for error.

The biggest complaint with these kits has been the poor design of the hydraulic system.  The components, as designed, would never hold pressure leaving the landing gear, flaps, and nose wheel steering to do as they please.  I was so appalled by this design and by the lack of support from the manufacturer the whole system was redesigned incorporating "poppet" valves to direct and hold pressure.  You will love this idea! 

I am the second owner of this kit and have completed most of the work to get to this point.  This unit has actually been test flown about two hours with no complications.  The airworthiness inspection has been started but not completed as yet.  This means that you may initiate your own inspection and qualify as the mechanic.  This kit is being sold due to poor health from two heart attacks.  

Engine:  IO 540 K1 Lycoming 300 horse power with two since Mattituck rebuild (yes, Mattituck has retired)

Prop: Hartzell three blade "Q" tip prop also with two hours since rebuild

Avionics: All of the basic VFR instruments and Electronics International engine instruments, plus KX170B COM & intercom

There is ample room in the panel for your preferred electronics.

The kit is currently primed awaiting a beautiful paint scheme.  

The engine has been run periodically and pickled in between runs.
