An airplane mechanic rebuilt the engine for me, I helped. We had the cylinders chromed, 1/2 inch valves installed according to an air worthiness directive, the cam shaft was reground ,new valve guides ,new oil pump, and lots of other parts. I had a briefcase full of yellow tags but they got lost over the years but the engine ran great when it was together with the plane. The engine also has a generator on it, and I had it rebuilt and it was working great but it will need a regulator. I also had the starter rebuilt and it always worked good also. It has a cabin heat box on it but it got damaged in the incident and it worked good also.
I still have the propeller and I think it is ok yet. The engine was originally on a Piper Cherokee 140 I’m not sure how many hours were on it then but the guy I bought it from was going to put it on another home built he was going to build but he never had the time to build it.
