This unit was removed from my personal aircraft during an avionics upgrade. It was operational when removed, including the COM and navigation functions.
The unit does display a “Low Battery Voltage / Unit Needs Service” warning associated with the internal memory/backup battery. This condition is known and fully disclosed. The navigation database is also out of date.
Important history/disclosure:
I previously sold this unit on eBay. The buyer subsequently had it tested and reported that COM RX and G/S RX were inoperative, and the unit was returned to me.
After receiving it back, I took the unit to my own FAA-authorized avionics shop for verification. Their testing found the unit operational, including the functions the previous buyer reported as inoperative. This was also consistent with how the unit operated when it was removed from my aircraft.
Because of the conflicting test results and the age of the equipment, I am listing and pricing this unit as FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING, regardless of my shop’s successful test. I personally believe the unit is operational, but I am making no guarantee regarding its current or future operation or airworthiness.
