A proven design the Volksplane VP-1 & VP-2 aircraft have been flying for more then 60 years.  This particular VP-2 is a nicely constructed & finished example of the two-seat version (for small people).  With extremely low hours (about 10TT) and having never been left outside, the aircraft is virtually “like new”.  This VP-2 is powered by the proven RevMaster Engine. Powerful & reliable, the RevMaster 2100D engine has dual ignition and could be retrofitted with electric start. Properly tuned & operated, the 2100D starts typically on the 2nd or 3rd flip (manual start just like a Piper J-3 Cub or Aeronca Champ).  The 2100D is an enhanced aviation version of the reliable VW Beetle engine, making quality parts very affordable & readily available (lots of performance after market parts).

The aircraft is finished in Stits Poly Fiber fabric with Poly Tone color and sporting a cool, Blue Max paint scheme (WW1 German, like the engine), Cleveland style independent hydraulic wheels/brakes. It a very light aircraft for 80HP and takes off in a very short distance. Although not fast, 75MPH cruise, it fun to with nice characteristics and STOL like performance. This is a certified aircraft (not ultralight) and requires an FAA Pilots Certificate with a “tailwheel endorsement”. Owner will be able to build “tailwheel flight time” for around $25/hour. NOT fast, just fun and affordable flying. But like flying an old Cub or Champ, a good mechanical understanding of engines is helpful.

This aircraft flew last year and now has wings removed for winter storage & ground transportation. It will require

wings been reinstalled and “condition inspection” to return aircraft to an airworthy condition. Note: although this

aircraft was built a while back, it was purchased by a pilot who was not tail-wheel qualified & hence, only flew

about 6 times over the past 40 years.
