TO THE OTHER, QUICKLY AND COMFORTABLY!
UNLIKE THE OTHER 210’S, THE PRESSERIZED P-210N ALLOWS YOU AND YOUR
PASSENGERS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HIGH ALTITUDE FLIGHT (ABOVE MOST
WEATHER, LESS CROWDED, LESS DRAG FOR FAR BETTER PERFORMANCE, AND OFTEN
MORE TAILWIND), WITHOUT THE UNCOMFORTABLENESS OF DONNING
OXYGEN MASKS!
THIS AIRPLANE WAS DOCTOR OWNED, FLOWN AND MAINTAINED, SO NO EXPENSE WAS SPARED.
WHICH LEADS TO THE ISSUE THAT CAUSED THIS AIRPLANE TO MAKE A WHEELS-UP LANDING OFF-FIELD!
WITH ONLY 600 HOURS SINCE OVERHAUL, THE COMPRESSIONS AT LAST ANNUAL WERE
LOWER THAN THE DOCTOR LIKED, SO HE OPTED FOR A TOP OVERHAUL, RE-USING
HIS EXISTING CYLINDERS BUT HAVING THEM MACHINED OVERSIZED, WITH
OVERSIZED PISTONS AND RINGS.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE MACHINEST GOT A DIFFERENT MEMO THAN THE INSTALLER,
AND GROUND THE CYLINDERS TO .005 OVERSIZED (NOT A COMMON SIZE FOR
AIRCRAFT CYLINDERS) AND THE INSTALLER PUT .015 OVERSIZED PISTONS AND
RINGS IN IT (STANDARD OVERSIZE FOR AIRCRAFT).
THE ENGINE RAN FOR 3 MIN ON THE GROUND, BUT THE MECHANIC WHO INSTALLED THE ENGINE DIDN’T LIKE HOW IT SOUNDED.
THE CYLINDER INSTALLER THEN RAN IT ABOVE IDLE FOR 3 MINUTES AND PRONOUNCED IT FINE.
LESS THAN 1 MINUTE AFTER THE TAKEOFF, THE ENGINE SEIZED, AND THE PILOT
PUT THE AIRPLANE DOWN AT THE EDGE OF THE AIRPORT IN A FLAT FIELD, WITH
THE GEAR RETRACTED.
DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE KEEL AND NOSE GEAR DOORS, SOME OF THE MAIN GEAR
DOORS AND TO THE AFT TAILCONE AFT OF THE CABIN, AND THE LEFT PLASTIC
WINGTIP WAS CRACKED.
THE CABIN BELLY SKIN, AFT OF THE FIREWALL AND BEFORE THE MAIN GEAR HAS A
VERY SHALLOW WRINKLE FROM THE WEIGHT OF THE AIRPLANE ON GRASS, NOT
SCRAPED!
NO OTHER DAMAGE OCCURRED.
THE AIRPLANE WAS CAREFULLY RAISED ONTO ALL 3 UNDAMAGED GEAR AND TUGGED BACK TO IT’S HANGER, UNDAMAGED ANY FURTHER.
(THE LEFT WING STRUCTURE AND SKINS, INCLUDING THE TIP RIB, DID NOT
SUFFER ANY DAMAGE, SO IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE PLASTIC TIP WAS DAMAGED
DURING THE RECOVERY).
THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO EITHER WING, FLAP OR AILERON!
NO DAMAGE TO THE HORIZONTAL, EITHER ELEVATOR, OR TO THE VERTICAL FIN OR RUDDER!
ALL 3 LANDING GEAR ARE COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED!
ALL GLASS IS INTACT AND UNDAMAGED, AND BOTH DOORS ARE UNDAMAGED AND SEAL WELL!
THIS AIRCRAFT IS EQUIPPED WITH THE GRIGGS (O&N) 29.7 GALLON AUX FUEL TANK THAT FITS UNDER THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR.
JUST INSTALLED THIS AUX FUEL SYSTEM JULY OF 2021! SPARED NO EXPENSE!
NO DAMAGE TO THIS SYSTEM FROM THIS INCIDENT!
AT THE SAME TIME AS THE GRIGGS TANK SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED, THE FRONT
SEATBELT ASSEMBLIES WERE REPLACED WITH AMSAFE AIRBAG SEATBELTS/SHOULDER
HARNESSES!
AMSAFE CALLS THIS SYSTEM “SOARS”, WHICH IS STAE OF THE ART RESTRAINT SYSTEM!
SPARED NO EXPENSE!

AS ALL 210 OWNERS KNOW, AD 2023-02-17 REQUIRES INSPECTION OF THE SPAR

IMPORTED TO CANADA IN 2000, BUT BEFORE THEN, THE TURBO PLUS INTERCOOLER SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED ON THIS AIRPLANE.
COWLING MODS, INTERCOOLER AND PLUMBING, AS WELL AS EXHAUST SYTEM ARE
INCLUDED (ONLY EXHAUST DAMAGE IS TO THE SMALL FINAL EXHAUST PIPE!
TURBOS ARE INCLUDED HERE AND WERE OVERHAULED LESS THAN 600 HOURS AGO AT ENGINE MAJOR IN 2017 AND ARE UNDAMAGED.
THE FAILED ENGINE ITSELF IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION!
