That is a light reflection on the screen, not a smudge or something. I bought it for an Experimental aircraft and sold the kit-project. The Garmin GTX 327 transponder is a reliable and high-quality avionic part designed for aircraft. This specific unit comes with the Manufacturers tray for easy installation and maintenance.
