Used Garmin GPSmap 396 with aviation database. Includes Garmin power/data cable (Garmin 010-10513-00) and aftermarket GPS antenna. No other accessories are included.
--Unit powered up fine on external 12v source this morning (9/16); and successfully acquired satellites and determined local position.
--On-screen messages show the battery as fully charged.
--Note: The aviation database is pre-2014 but the unit is still perfect for direct-to airport/Navaid travel; or as a slaved display to a compatible Garmin receiver.
(*This unit was removed from aircraft after our insurance company 'totaled' the plane. We salvaged the portable GPS, but forgot to pull out the original antenna. The aftermarket antenna works - see photos - but seems slow acquiring signals compared to some other GPS equipment. You may eventually want to consider an antenna with better sensitivity.)
