Hi Folks! Happy SPRING!!! Up for Bid/"Buy it Now" today is a perfect flyable project!! 1968 Piper Cherokee 140 , 4448TT, 2441 SMOH!! Avionics- King KA134 Audio panel, MX11 Com 760 Com radio, King KX170B with Narco Localizer indicator, King KT76 transponder w/encoder, Paint is original, its crazed and lifting and bare in spots, Interior is in decent shape, older but cared for. Front and rear seats, side panels and carpet very good, plastic is in good shape, glass is in very good shape, rear hat shelf. Comes with wheel pants, 2 have been repaired and primed. Needs a left windshield as shown in pictures, has been stop drilled. Is due for the mag AD for updated coils. Has some old damage history, left lower wing and gear was repaired, clean airframe, no corrosion, full logs and records. Last annual 2002 ....now I know what your thinking!! "This thing hasn't been flown since 2002??" Lets just say the 92 year old previous owner didnt exactly see the sense of inspecting the plane every year!! "It runs fine!! Ran fine last year, it'll run fine this year!! by gumbo!!, don't need those young whippersnapper mechanics taking my money!!" You get my drift there, I hope!!! The engine runs great. We ferried it last week and it ran fine. The pilot said the control cables need tensioning. He could hear them slapping around. Buy it, train in it, fly it and sell it and get your ticket for less than renting!! Just makes "plane" sense!! A great flying project Cherokee 140!!
