This KT 76A is a panel-mount Mode C transponder and provides performance up to 35,000 feet. A compact unit with Large Scale Integrated (LSI) circuitry, reducing both weight and power requirements.
As a Mode C transponder it replies to radar interrogations from Air Traffic Control (ATC) with positive identification showing ground speed on the Controller radar monitor. Included is an encoder which transmits altitude as well.
This unit was recently tested by an avionics shop and found to be functioning properly
