The Garmin 696 operates with a very expensive 7.2 Volt Battery and it may not be recognized by the Garmin 696 and will not charge.
I will charge the battery and return it to you and the Garmin should thereafter maintain the required charge on the battery. Don't discard the battery ... send it to me and save $200.00 !!
