Stratus is a portable, battery operated or DC powered receiver that works in conjunction with the ForeFlight Mobile App.  Stratus provides pilots with free, subscription free in-flight weather and traffic and is a source of accurate GPS WAAS position. Stratus receives Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B) weather information (FIS-B), traffic information (TIS-B), and other related data and broadcasts it to ForeFlight Mobile via a WiFI network. The high-resolution screen displays terrain maps. Receive weather updates from NEXRAD radar, SIGMETs, TAFs, and more. The dual-band ADS-B receiver displays traffic information, including relative altitude, climb or descent rate, and projected flight. It also records flight logs, complete with GPS position, altitude, and speed. Wi-Fi connectivity can connect with up to five Apple devices simultaneously. Stratus is also an attitude heading reference system (AHRS). You can view your aircraft’s course, ground speed, vertical speed, turn rate, attitude, and altitude from your iOS device with the free Stratus Horizon application.  It is perfect for pilots who want to stay connected and aware of their surroundings while flying.
