For sale is a project that I'm simply just not going to get to unless it moves out of my personal collection and onto the payroll project list. I originally bought this PA-12 about a year ago as a short cut to getting my PA-18 in the air again. Since then I've acquired some other aircraft and projects and it's time to cut this one loose for more space in the hangar. The airplane is pretty solid and could probably be put back in the air with just a few weekends of work. I bought it from the past owners widow, disassembled the airplane and trucked it home where it's sat since. It does run well and passes compressions on a gas can. I would certainly be willing to put the airplane in flying condition or pack in a sea container and ship in or out of the States. Please contact me about the cost of making it airworthy or shipping prior to bidding. I have the logs from new up until 1987 when it looks like the owner stopped caring about the FAA. The fabric appears to have been redone in 2003 but the paint is very worn and there are a few areas of patches/minor damage here and there, otherwise looks airworthy. Looks like the struts are the sealed type and the tail feathers are PA-18's. Pretty low time bird, 1,511 TT and 660 SMOH. Feel free to ask any questions or come see it in person.
