Used Garmin 696 (GPSMAP 696) . No battery or XM antenna. Includes 12v lighter plug, GPS antenna. Unit works on 12v power through lighter plug without battery. Current Nav, Plates, Safe Taxi, Obstacle data good until 12/7/17. Also current Terrain data. Manual can be downloaded at Garmin website at no charge. Works perfect with no issues but I never tried the XM weather or music which requires an additional antenna and subscriptions so on that I can't make any claims.
