Beautiful airworthy WW1 replica

Current Price: 70,000.00 USD

Airframe  TT 170 hrs

Engine TT 150hrs.

Prop TT 60 hrs. ( new repitched prop made and installed May 2016)

The airplane has a 24.5 ' top wingspan.  It sits at 7' to the top of the front cylinder  in a 3 point position.

The fuselage is apx. 20' long

It is an exact 80% scale of the original DVa. It fits in it's  7' tall x 24' +2' V nose trailer to haul long distances.

Some drawings , details and photos of construction available.

Performance is very good with 150 hp and lots of torque swinging the big prop.

I fly it 50% of the time off 4500' pavement at my home at 7FL6 and 50% off my 2500' grass strip here in Saskatchewan.  Take off is about 500-600' and landing roll about the same.  It has a set of single puck Matco brakes , Locking full swivel Haigh tail wheel.

I have a complete used spare engine in the factory box as well as another used block and some cyl. I have 2 complete sets of gaskets for the engine.

Spares for the Tigre engine are pretty easy to get from a number of sources. I haven't needed much in the 100 hrs I have put on it.

I have modified it with a pressure oil feed system to the rocker arms which has made things really nice. I also changed to an Ellison Throttle body injector wich is beautifuly simple and reliable.

The rest of the airplane is really simple and nothing really unique for parts needed. Standard aircraft nuts/bolts etc.

You can see a couple video of it flying  on u-tube:
