THIS IS A LATER MODEL WARRIOR (MOST WERE PRODUCED IN THE 1970'S )

THE WINGTIP STROBES ARE THE MODERN NAV/STROBE/TAIL DESIGN, AND THERE ARE SOME OTHER DETAIL UPDATES ON THESE NEWER MODELS

THIS AIRPLANE HAS BEEN USED IN A GOOD FLIGHT SCHOOL IN THE FORT WORTH TEXAS AREA.

AS A FLIGHT SCHOOL AIRPLANE, IT HAS HIGHER THAN AVERAGE TOTAL TIME AT 11,718.  THATS FAR FROM A RECORD, SO DON'T WORRY, GUINNESS ISN'T GOING TO KNOCK ON YOUR DOOR. 

THE POSITIVE ASPECT OF THIS TYPE OF USE IS CONSTANT INSPECTION AND A REPLACE AS NEEDED MENTALITY

WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL LOGBOOKS SINCE BRAND NEW. 

THE SAME MECHANIC HAS BEEN INSPECTING THIS AIRPLANE EVERY 100 HOURS FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND 6,000 HOURS !!

EVERY 100 HOURS HE INSPECTED THE ENTIRE AIRCRAFT, AND AS THE ENTRIES  SHOW, HE WOULD BE CONSTANTLY REPLACE PARTS AS THEY WORE OUT OR BECAME INOP

CORROSION IS NOT A PROBLEM IN THAT PART OF THE COUNTRY, LIKE IT WOULD BE IN FLORIDA, SO THE MECHANIC COULD CONCENTRATE ON ELIMINATING WORN ITEMS, A FEW AT A TIME, EVERY TIME HE LOOKED AT THE PLANE .

THE LAST ANNUAL WAS 4/2017 (SO THIS AIRPLANE IS STILL WELL WITHIN THE CALENDAR 12 MONTH PERIOD, AND THE LAST ENTRY WAS SIMPLE MAINTENANCE 7/2017.

UNFORTUNATELY, A HARD LANDING ON THE NOSE OCCURRED SOON AFTER.

THE BAD NEWS IS THE ENGINE MOUNT IS BENT, AND AS IT FOLDED BACK, IT SQUISHED THE CABIN HEAT BOX

THE GREAT NEWS, IS THAT IS ABOUT THE ONLY AIRFRAME DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED !!!!

THE NOSEGEAR ITSELF LOOKS COMPLETELY UNDAMAGED !!  THE TUBULAR MOUNT WHERE THE GEAR ATTACHES BROKE, BUT THE FORK, CHROME AND UPPER TUBE, ALONG WITH THE WHEEL ITSELF, LOOK FINE !!

THE SCISSORS PUSHED BACKWARD INTO THE BELLY EVER SO SLIGHTLY, BUT THE ONLY DENT IS TO THE INSPECTION PLATE, NOT TO ANY SURROUNDING SKIN !!

THE CABIN HEAT BOX IS DENTED, BUT IT APPEARS THAT THE SURROUNDING SKIN OF THE FIREWALL IS NOT.  THE VERY SMALL PUNCTURE FROM THE CORNER OF THE BOX CAN BE PLUGGED LEGALLY.  THE FIREWALL SHOULD NOT REQUIRE REPLACEMENT !!!!!!!

THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE SKINS AFT OF THE FIREWALL, AND NO DEFORMATION TO THE BOOTCOWL STRUCTURE

SO WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE MOUNT AND THE HEAT BOX, THE AIRFRAME IS NOT DAMAGED !!!!

NO DAMAGE TO EITHER WING

NO DAMAGE TO THE FLAPS, AILERONS, WINGTIPS OR TIP STROBES

NO DAMAGE TO THE DOOR OR CABIN STRUCTURE

NO DAMAGE TO THE TAILCONE OR TAIL FEATHERS

NO DAMAGE TO THE MAIN GEAR, THE WHEELS OR THE BRAKES

AS ALREADY STATED, THE NOSEGEAR DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE DAMAGED

THE UPPER AND LOWER COWL WERE NOT DAMAGED BY THE INCIDENT (NOT CLASSIFIED AS AN ACCIDENT WITH THE FAA), ALTHOUGH THE CENTER DIVIDER AT THE BOTTOM (SHOWN AS A BLUE TRIANGLE IN THE ENGINE MOUNT PHOTOS) APPEARS TO BE BENT UP

THE FIBERGLASS NOSEBOWL LOOKS GOOD

AS YOU CAN SEE, THE ENGINE, WHICH SUSTAINED A PROP STRIKE, WAS REMOVED FROM THE MOUNT, AND IS NOT INCLUDED HERE.

YOU WOULD RATHER PUT YOUR CHOICE OF 160 H.P. ENGINE HERE, AND REALLY, YOU SHOULD BE CONSIDERING A 180 H.P., WHICH FITS ON THIS AIRFRAME JUST AS EASILY AS THE FAR MORE EXPENSIVE ARCHER AIRFRAME !!

INSIDE, THE BLUE INTERIOR LOOKS OK, BUT THE TAN SIDE PANELS ARE A LITTLE WORN

THE DASH LOOKS GOOD, WITH ALL LATE MODEL INSTRUMENTS

THE RADIO PANEL UNITS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, AND ARE NOT INCLUDED, BUT ALL OF THE TRAYS ARE STILL INSTALLED AND WIRED FOR A KMA 24 AUDIO, 2 KX-155, KR-87 ADF, KN-64 DME AND KT-76A TRANSPONDER.  THESE TYPE RADIOS ARE READILY AVAILABLE, FROM US OR OTHERS, NOW OR IN THE FUTURE, AND WILL LITERALLY SLIDE RIGHT IN WHEN YOU ARE READY !!

TIED DOWN OUTSIDE, WITH THE COWLINGS ON IT, LOOKING ALMOST READY TO FLY AWAY.  IF YOU HAVE AN ENGINE AND STUFF FROM ANOTHER WARRIOR, YOU COULD REPAIR OR REPLACE THIS MOUNT, BOLT ON YOUR ENGINE AND FLY THIS AIRPLANE AWAY LEGALLY !!

LOCATED AT THE MEACHAM AIRPORT IN FT WORTH, 

THIS IS THE WHOLE AIRFRAME, NOT A JUMBLED UP PILE OF PARTS IN A SHED, AND OF COURSE IT COMES WITH THE LOGBOOKS SINCE NEW AND THE FAA BILL OF SALE.
