THIS AIRPLANE HAS THE MODIFIED FIBERGLASS NOSE CAP, THE SPECIAL ENGINE MOUNT, THE AUX FUEL PUMP, THE FUEL AND OIL LINES, THE FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE INCLUDED !

ONE OF THE ISSUES WITH A LARGER ENGINE ON THE 150 IS THE LACK OF STANDARD FUEL, SO THIS AIRPLANE ALSO HAS   ***LONG RANGE FUEL TANKS*** ADDED !!

WITH ALL THE TOYS ADDED, THE AIRPLANE WEIGHS MORE, SO THE S.T.C. FOR THE ENGINE INSTALL INCLUDES AN INCREASE TO 1760 LBS. GROSS

BECAUSE THE AIRPLANE WEIGHS MORE, IT TENDS TO INCREASE THE STALL SPEED, SO THIS AIRPLANE HAS MANY MODS ADDED TO DECREASE THE STALL SPEED, AND INCRESE THE CONTROLABILITY AT LOW SPEED.

HORTON STOL KIT, WHICH ADDS LEADING EDGE CUFFS, HIGH LIFT WINGTIPS, STALL FENCES AND AILERON GAP SEALS TO THE WINGS.

VORTEX GENERTORS, WHICH DECREASE THE SPEED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WILL STALL AT AND ADDS EXTRA CONTROL AT SLOW SPEEDS.

I FLEW A CHEROKEE “6” WITH BOTH THE HORTON KIT AND VORTEX GENERATORS ONCE, AND THE HARDEST THING IS TO REMEMBER TO SLOW THE AIRPLANE DOWN BEFORE YOU GET TO THE RUNWAY ON LANDING, OR YOU WILL JUST FLOAT BY IT.

THE CHEROKEE “6” STARTED TO SAG TOWARD THE GROUND AT 45 KNOTS, (NOT THE NORMAL 70-75 KNOTS) STILL WITH GOOD CONTROL.

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW SLOW A 150 WITH THESE MODS CAN GET DOWN TO !!

OH, 1 FORGOT TO MENTION, THIS AIRCRAFT ALSO HAS THE ***TAILWHEEL CONVERSION KIT*** !!

THIS STC REPLACES THE 150 NOSEWHEEL WITH A TAILWHEEL SETUP (IN THIS CASE A SCOTT), A MAIN GEAR RELOCATION KIT, AND TURNS THE 150 INTO A 2 PLACE 170B !!

NOW COMBINE THE TAILWHEEL CONVERSION WITH THE HORTON STOL, THE VORTEX GENERATORS, THE SCOTT TAILWHEEL, THE LYCOMING STC, ADD BIG 8:50X6 TIRES LIKE THIS PLANE HAS AND YOU HAVE A SUPER DUPER 150 !!

BUT NO ONE IS INFALLABLE

THE PILOT OF THIS AIRPLANE DROPPED IT A LITTLE TOO HARD ON LANDING ON THE MAINS AND PULLED THE GEARBOX OUT OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE LOWER FUSELAGE.

THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE IS RIGHT IN THAT 18” SQUARE AREA ON THE LEFT LOWER SIDE.

NO FIREWALL, CABIN, TAILCONE OR DOOR DAMAGE.

THE LEFT WING TIP DRAGGED SLIGHTLY (REPAIRABLE TO THE FIBERGLASS), AND THE FAR OUTBOARD WING SECTION (THE “BREAKAWAY” PIECE, OUTBOARD OF THE SPAR) IS WRINKLED

THE SPARS ARE NOT DAMAGED, AND THE ATTCH POINTS ARE NOT DAMAGED FROM THE INCIDENT (JUST A TINY TEAR IN THE UPPER CABIN SKIN AND A SMALL NON-RELATED DENT IN THE RIGHT WING, FROM HANDLING, SHOWN, SMALL AND INCIDENTAL)

THE GLASS AND WINDSHIELD ARE GOOD, AND THE FLAPS, AILERONS, HORIZONTAL, ELEVATORS, RUDDER AND VERTICAL ARE ALL GOOD

THE MAIN GEAR LEGS AND WHEELS AND DISC BRAKES LOOK GOOD.

THE TAILWHEEL DIDN’T HIT HARD, SO IT IS FINE AND SO IS THE MOUNT AND THE AFT TAILCONE

BAS HANDLES ARE INSTALLED FOR EASY GROUND HANDLING

EVEN THE WINGTIP WHELEN STROBES ARE UNDAMAGED

THE AIRPLANE LOOKS GOOD, IN BRIGHT RED WITH WHITE ACCENTS

INSIDE, THE RED SEATS WITH CLOTH INSERTS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE.

SOME OF THE BASIC FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, BUT YOUR DREAM AIRPLANE WAS GOING TO HAVE AN ASPEN, OR GARMIN G-5, OR DYNON GLASS IN IT, WASN’T IT?

ALL OF THE ENGINE AND AIRFRAME GUAGES ARE STILL INSTALLED, AS SHOWN

TOTAL AIRFRAME TIME IS ONLY 3693

ALL AIRFRAME LOGBOOKS SINCE NEW 4/4/1968 ARE INCLUDED, ALONG WITH 337’S AND SOME STC COPIES, PLUS OWNERS MANUAL, ETC.

SOLD WITH FAA BILL OF SALE AND FAA AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE.

NO MENTION IN THE LOGBOOK ABOUT THIS INCIDENT.
